On Wednesday, CLI’s CEO Nathaniel Houghton was lucky enough to attend a breakfast commemorating the 15th anniversary of the creation of the UN’s Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The event included delegates from all over the world and featured an address by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.
It was moving to be able to hear stories of young women who are changing every corner of the world and it reminded us of the importance of the work we do in Congo. Many consider the DRC to be one of the worst places in the world to be a woman, and changing this reality is a huge aspect of CLI’s operations. We are proud to be part of this movement and appreciate your support!
